KOPŽI, bendradarbiaudama su Lietuvos kurčiųjų draugijos Kauno skyriumi (LKD Kauno sk.), siekia keisti situaciją, kai dėl informacijos neprieinamumo gestų kalba bei riboto specialistų pasirengimo, kurčiųjų bendruomenės nariai dažnai nesupranta, kada jų patiriamas elgesys yra smurtinis, nežino savo teisių ar kur kreiptis pagalbos.
Projekto metu bus organizuojamos šviečiamosios veiklos mažose grupėse, kurčiųjų bendruomenei suprantama forma pateikiama informacija apie seksualinio smurto formas, jų teises ir pagalbos galimybes. Bus organizuojami šviečiamieji susitikimai skirti specialistams, darbuotojams, pedagogams dirbantiems tiesiogiai su kurčiųjų bendruomenės nariais tam, kad išmoktų atpažinti problemas, tinkamai reaguotų į susidariusias krizines situacijas bei galėtų rasti atsakymus į kylančius klausimus darbe su seksualinį smurtą išgyvenusiais kurčiųjų bendruomenės nariais.
Tikslas: projektas siekia didinti seksualinio smurto atpažinimą ir saugumo užtikrinimą asmenims
su klausos negalia.
Finansuojama suma: 60 000 Eur (KOPŽI – 40 000 Eur)
Įgyvendinimo laikotarpis: 2025.10.01 iki 2026.10.31

I Can’t Hear But I Recognize: Preventing Sexual Violence and Ensuring Safety for People with Hearing Impairments
KOPŽI in cooperation with the Kaunas branch of the Lithuanian Association of the Deaf (LKD Kaunas branch) aims to change the situation where, due to the inaccessibility of information in sign language and limited training of specialists, members of the deaf community often do not understand when the behavior they experience is abusive, do not know their rights or where to seek help.
During the project educational activities will be organized in small groups, providing information in a form understandable to the deaf community about forms of sexual violence, thei rights of the victims and possibilities for assistance. Educational meetings will be organized for specialists, employees, and teachers working directly with members of the deaf community to learn how to recognize problems, respond appropriately to arising crisis situations, and find answers to questions that arise when working with members of the deaf community who have experienced sexual violence.
Goal: the project aims to increase the recognition of sexual violence and ensure safety for individuals with hearing impairment.
Funding amount: 60,000 EUR (KOPŽI – 40,000 EUR)
